The martyrdom of Mangal Pandey, Bhagat Singh , Chandra Shekhar Azad & others was great indeed but somehow, could not stir the masses as much as Gandhi's Satyagraha Movement, Dandi March & Quit India Movement did.

This made the British Rulers sit up, take notice & eventually quit India.
Thus, Mahatma Gandhi had a great contribution in achieving India's Independence.
